CSP first, Open for a specific reason
For your customers’ Microsoft requirements, MC3 Cloud recommends CSP by default. However, Open Value and Open Value Subscription remain options to consider when a specific requirement justifies volume licensing: three-year price predictability, Software Assurance renewal or prepaid Azure purchasing.
These programmes represent a more expensive route than the corresponding CSP offering. We therefore do not recommend them by default or as a way to reduce licensing costs.
Three requirements that justify considering Open
- Three-year price predictability, subject to the agreement terms.
- Software Assurance renewal, with Software Assurance included in Open Value.
- Prepaid Azure purchasing, when this billing model is required.
